Sevyn's 1st birthday

And then there was the wind. When went to decorate the tables in the morning and there was no wind. When we got there later that afternoon all the decorations were blown down. The table cloths were ripped. The balloons that we brought would not even stay on the tables with the weights. I was nearly in tears. But by the time people started to show up I forgot all about it. And the wind had finally stopped. It was a huge success. I would guess that about 40 people showed up to celebrate. There was at least 20 kids there to play and have fun. We had a nice BBQ and Sevyn got some really nice gifts.

Sevyn's 1st birthday

The second catastrophe was the camera. My camera would not turn on. Even after I charged the batteries. So the pictures I got were not that great. They started with him being messy from dinner. Thank you to Aubree for having a camera that did work so that I could at least get cute pictures like this.

Sevyn's 1st birthday

We had so much fun at the park celebrating Sevyns first birthday. I nearly had a nervous breakdown before the party started. I was not happy with the cake at all, but I picked it up so late there was no time for them to change it. I asked for red yellow and blue frosting with a monkey and a giraffe and I got white frosting with a plain cake and no animals on it. The blobs were not cute and they were messy. However, it did taste pretty good or so I heard. Sevyn also ate so much for dinner that by the time we passed out the cake, he didn't even take a bite.

When Sevyn gets on surfaces he doesnt like he does this half walk/crawl. If only he could really walk. I dont want to rush him but being that I am getting further along and he gets heavier by the day, it is gettin really hard to carry him.

My babies

Two milestones today if you can call it that. One funny thing is that I was yelling the word NO at Sevyn and he slapped my leg. Does this mean we are starting toddlerhood?? The other is I can finally see the baby kicking on my stomach. I love watching that. It isnt very often but I am sure he is getting stronger every day. We have finally decided on a name for him. Colin Briggs Fernandez. He will hopefully be here mid October. We cant wait for him to arrive and complete our happy little family. If only I could have just one girl in this house, but doesnt look like it is going to work that way.

Summer swimming

I took Sevyn swimming for the first time outdoors. I thought he would love it since the Selbys love water and he does love his baths. But he didnt. He cried and after awhile he did warm up but was still a little skiddish.

Family arrival

Adrienne and Chris made it in from Virginia. They will be staying with us for a little while, until they find jobs and are able to move out on their own. It is really nice to have a female in the house. Only if it is for a little while. Yesterday was Memorial day and we went fishing. It was a lot of fun, but as usual we didn't catch any fish.

I had my second ultra sound for Collin. Everything looks good. My due date is officially Oct 25th but according to the ultra sound it is Oct 17th. So I don' t think that will change but it shows that the baby is growing at the rate he is suppose to. When I had the ultrasound for Sevyn they didn't do any 3D pictures but this time they did. How technology changes so quickly.

I am obessed with learning how to make a good cake. I think I might want to do it on the side and make a little cash. So I am going to take a cake decorating class and see where that takes me. I bought some stuff today to make some fondant and some cake decorating tools. Hopefully this isnt a pipe dream and a total disaster!

Baileys dance concert

Bailey had a dance program at school today. I think he was pretty embarrassed because he had to dance with girls. I tried to upload the video but that didn't work so here are a couple of pictures. I don't have many pictures because I recorded it.

Hope of America

Bailey has been working on this program called "The Hope Of America". They performed at the BYU Marriott center. It was pretty neat to watch. They all worked really hard. There was over 75 schools that participated. Here are a couple of pictures of the hard work.

Volcom Skate Comeptition

Bailey had the opportunity to enter a skate competition the other week. He did great but has a lot of work to be as good as the rest. It was a great experience for him and he really enjoyed himself.

Beginning of learning how to walk

We were at the doctors office last week for my pregnancy check up and Sevyn decided to learn how to walk around pushing things. They have these little toddler chairs that dont stick to the ground. I looked up and Sevyn was walking all around the office pushing this chair all around. It was so cute!!

Baby boy Collin

Yesterday I had the amazing experience of going to get an ultrasound to determine the sex of my baby. I already knew it was a boy, even though we were hoping for a girl. It does make me a little sad because this is going to be our last child. But the important thing is that the baby is healthy. He has 10 little fingers and 10 little toes. kidneys brain and bladder are all good. The ultra sound tech made a comment on how big his lips were. It reminded me of when Sevyn was born and when he would lay on his side his lips would be all smooshed. I cant wait to meet the little boy. Still deciding on what to name him though.

Baileys Wax Museum as General Robert E Lee

Bailey had a report that he did at school on Robert E Lee. After the class finished their different reports the school held a wax museum. They had a button on their desks that when pushed they would stand up and recite their speech on who their historical figures was. Bailey did a really good job and had a fun time dressing up as the character and telling people about him.

Proud grandparents

Grandma and her newest Grandchildren. They have 3 grandchildren under the age of 2 and another one on the way.

I wish that the babies cooperated and that we didnt have a crying baby in each picture, or at least babies that could look at the camera. But our babies are not that cooperative and these are the best that I got.

Sevyn's Blessing

Today, Cam blessed Sevyn and his daughter Evie in church. At first it was really nice and I couldn't believe Sevyn wasnt crying, and then it came. He screamed and screamed. After the blessing we all went to my Grandma and Barbaras house for a nice luncheon. It was fun to hang out with everyone and celebrate the babies births.

Yesterday May 1st I was able to attend my little brothers college graduation. He graduated with a bachelors in business finance. I am really proud of him. Afterwards, we went to California Pizza Kitchen to celebrate. We had a great time. I'll post pictures as soon as I get them.

My gorgeous niece Emma. She is so fun to be with. Wish I saw he more often.

Sat April 3rd. jenny invited the boys over to her house for a Easter egg hunt. Sevyn had a great time. He loves to be around people. Bailey had a lot of fun playing with Emma.
